Scumcast! 8:End of the World Party

Here again. Meant to return sooner but as per the usual, every piece of technology I own decided to break the fuck down on me within a three day span. I don't know why this in unison bs always happens to me. Granted, some of this had to do with me knocking my laptop off my bed after passing out drunk and cracking the screen (twice in a one month span), but still all the other stuff was pretty uncalled for, gawdammit. I'll spare you the details... but yeah, maybe it was more like a mix between a firestorm and my own personal shitstorm. O wellll....

But I hope you didn't go and get the idea that I'm all about <3-on-yr-sleeveyness and twirling around forevs and evs after that last one. It's all one giant see-saw to me and after that one I got the urge to balance the fucker out in a way I've been threatening to do for awhile now. Yeah that's right yall, it's time for another ELECTROINDIEBLOGHOUSEBNGATHON.....M0THRAFUGGZ0RZZ!11!!1

Now before you start trying to think, let me say a few things about this one. First, I'd say it's probably my first ever "official" dance mix. That is, this is the first one where I stuck to my guns and didn't wander into heady territories or veer off course into experimentalism because I felt compelled to do so. Granted this has everything from old school industrial to street bass to techie minimal stuff...but the main gist of it is dark, hard, evil blog jams and heavy basslines galore. This is built exactly how I would want a dance set of this type to go energy-wise and as far as I'm concerned, I murdered it.

But anyway, I decided to do this mix for a couple reasons. For one, as far as I can see, the new electro movement has reached it's zenith. Like, I'd say pretty much everybody who is gonna know about Justice knows about Justice. And cause of the myspace and all that, the young ones are all about this shit. At the end of the day, you really can't argue with that. I follow everything I can because I can't really help myself and I have definilly collected plenty of jams of this variety over the past 3 years or so. So I figured my job here is to steer new dance fans young and old away from the mountains of god-awful hipster bullshit clogging the intertubes and towards the dudes who are really doing ill shit within this spectrum.

Also, I won't go and say that this is on some deep serato crates shit either. A lot of these are the big 'choons that you might've heard dudes like Erol or Boys Noize playing out. A couple are even probably a few weeks too old (gasp!). But as far as what I like and can get ahold of, this is a fairly thorough survey of the past couple months. Most importantly to me, it's mixed really fast and well and makes me think I could be rocking festivals or something. Sighhh, if only I was well connected and knew how to properly market myself... ::wamp womppppp::

But anyway, it's out there, right here at the high water mark, before the great electro recession of 2009 and all the impending devastation that will follow in the years to come. For more on that, consult the growing inkling that is worming around in the back of yr mind...or go and check out the makeshift gallery I put up within the shitty confines of the picture section of the myspace. I've been doing a great job of being brief and ominous over there, so hopefully you didn't come from there and are now reading my nerd out and are all bummed that I'm anything but vague. Be sure to check it out soon though cuz myspace doesn't seem to enjoy how deep my internet gets. They've already been pruning pictures left and right and threatening to shut me down. Thanx Rupert (OoOops, I mean "Tom")!

Anyway, I should be back with a whole new angle fairly soon (time frames are my own personal joke so im gonna stop alluding to them). In the meantime, go ahead and blast this shit when you need to wyle the fuck out like there's no tomorrow. Who knows...there just might not be :)

Scumcast! 7: Listen & Glisten

Time to get it going againnnn.

Whellp, I know I have been really shitty about the monthliness of these Scumcast dealies...but I did forecast that being the case...so props to me for making sure that all prophecies have been self-fulfilled. I plan on making amends by dropping no less than 3 over the next month's* span, followed by a big mix that I've been working on for a minute, which has also spawned several little splinter mixes in my head, so don't count me out just yet. I've still got a ton of jams that you need to hear, all I gotta do is line 'em up properly. Until then, I intend to keep you guessing a little bit. For starters:

Scumcast! 7: Listen & Glisten

1.Double- Woman of the World
2.Double- Woman of the World(Tangoterje edit)
3.Hercules & Love Affair- You Belong
4.Kelley Polar- Here in the Night
5.Neon Neon- Raquel
6.Jape- Floating (Prins Thomas 0.75 miks)
7.Cut Copy- Feel The Love
8.Ratatat- Shempi
9.Woolfy- Looking Glass
10.Diskjokke- Staying In
11.The Whitest Boy Alive- Golden Cage (Fred Falke Remix)
12.Daso- Meine
13.Cari Lekebusch- Shaded Compuphonic & Kolumbo Remix
14.FPU-Ocean Drive (Tiga's White Linen Vox)
15.Metronomy-Heart Rate Rapid
16.Santogold-Unstoppable
17.Feist-I Feel It All (Britt Daniel Remix)
18.Feist-I Feel It All (Escort Remix)

This is a spring mix that I made with females on the brain. Alls I'm gonna say is that yes, I took it there. It's pretty unabashedly poppy, but I stand behind all the songs on it. A few tracks are fairly obvious if you follow mags and blogs and all that, but as far as the vibe I was going for, I think I pretty much killed it. I figure if you manage to make this one the soundtrack to your lyfe for a quick minute, then you are doing pretty well for yourself. Oh, and here's some associational pickers to accompany. Enjoy things...we'll talk again soon.

20.Invisible Conga People-Cable Dazed

Tried to stay thematic with this one. It goes back and forth between some ultra classy cocktail dance jams and some tripper disco stuff...hence the title. I've kinda been on a kick with this stuff as of late. 95% of the time, moving forward is just about picking up on the right point in the past at the right time, right? It's crazy thinking about how every little piece of cultural detritus has a relative velocity within the context of a given time period...and how when the climate is right, certain bits suddenly become primed for a major reinsertion into the here and now...whip up some minor repackaging, attach it to a currently buzzing cultural beacon (a person, a scene,a venue, a movie, 3 seconds of a drumbreak, etc.) and then bam...threads of stagnant thought-energy are flowing through networks once again ...and things manifest...

That being said, I'm really hoping the lens shifts away from all this electro-noise and bratty indie rock and stuff like this finally blows up on the same level. With DFA and now Italians Do It Better getting a lot of press in America, I'm getting the feeling that this type of vibe could finally creep out from the realm of the elite record nerdus and into broader stretches of cooldom.

Also...I've sat on a little top albums 07 list for a month now and it keeps reminding me that it needs to go somewhere where eyes might chance upon it. I actually ended up compiling my 2006 one in Mid-March of last year like that was somehow remotely acceptable behavior...so yeah, this is an improvement actually, even though I didn't get around to posting it until now. Again, I'm the first to admit that I've never been doing this "the right way" in the first place. Lord knows I would love to just launch into all of that for like 3 pages as usual, but as far as I see it, all the backpedaling in the dark doesn't help either so fuck it...it is what it is...an attempt at defragmenting my internal world by filtering yours. Just know that I wouldn't bother if I didn't have all kinds of tastemaker creed. Anyway, on with it.

For the most part, I'd say 2007 fel like an extension of all the 2005 and in 2006. (edit:haha, wow...yeah, looks like I managed to sum it up better than I can ever thought possbile!!!) Basically, on the broader side of things, even more people know about Justice, Chromeo, MIA, LCD, Hot Chip, Diplo, and Animal Collective. My favorite trends were the 8-bit resurgence, stark minimal disco, and the street bass sound. I'm curious as to what's next. There's a push for early 90's type stuff but I feel it's too premature. There's a lot of forced early house stuff that still doesn't sound "hot" to me...however, incorporating the primitive drum machine styles from early chicago/detroit stuff IS really starting to catch my ear, after I've been fairly neutral to that sound all my life. The good stuff though like Kevin Saunderson or Mike Dunn; I'm hating on the La Bouche/Snap! sounding tracks. I'm still not a big fan of 8 minute long 303 workouts either, but if you layer that syncopation with something melodic and engaging then I'll bite. Then there's the 4X4 bassline stuff outta the uk...maybe that could catch on here more and bleed into other genres. And things could get interesting if mainstream rappers start doing their thing over 130 bpms rather than some dude on Ableton so we can get some official raverap. It's probably more likely that there's gonna be a lot more sampling of dance music for 80 bpms though. Anyway...speculating...but hopefully some kid who sayy, likes Modular, Tempa and Border Community in equal parts, finds some sort of seamless logical connection between them and keeps me stoked on new tunage for another 365.

Oh wait...like 330 at this point. Somewhere in there...boi-yoi-yoi-yoi-yoinggg...

Yeah, here are some of my favorite music videos of the year (that I didn't post at some point).

Liars go Mouth of Madness v Lost Highway in a deathrace for the disembodied. Directed by Patrick Daughters, who also directed all those dope one take Feist videos.

Black Dice with the meltiest mediascramble of the year. It's like someone made a TV Carnage vid outta those TV Carnage vids. Drain Bamage!

Cyriak is king shit of all things internet. He's responsible for a very significant portion of the animated gifs you see circulating the web. I'm pretty sure I've randomly posted some of his stuff before. His approach is fairly lo-fi, but completely legit because it's so awesome conceptually. You can tell he just churns this stuff out by himself too, like he's making a desperate attempt to keep up with his own mind. always a good look, imo.

Here's the video he did for what had to be the re-edit of the year. He manages to squeeze an entire world out of 5 seconds of old Frank Valli clips. Awesome. Someone needs to give this guy a studio with a budget.

Cross-cultural toobin' is a small passion of mine. Chinese auto-tune+power-up noises+magical glitter+lush space botanicals+Thing n'Co+eyeballs galore= yet more fantastical awesomeness of which I totally approve.

From even deeper in the interbutts.

So, back in the day, did you ever begin to think you could get this raw with yer Mario Paint? Naw, you probably drew a couple crude dicks, spent 5 minutes trying to make a song out of meow meows and tugboat noises, and then put that shit down forever because you thought "man, this game fucking sucks!"

Little did you know...it was YOU that was sucking all along...the least you could have done was like, suck as awesomely as these dudes.

Oh, and they're called Shit the Bed. I'm pretty sure they had that going for them before it became the hot phrase that it is. Double whammy.

more jokes...that last one reminded me of it...weezy and kanye made ridiculous, but definitely on point enough for it to really hit...too many retarded quotables to even list.

Alright, kinda got off topic. Back to real deal videos. I feel this one should have been made a long time ago, but maybe this x-ray camera deal is some sort of new technology? Regardless, it's utilized to great effect; this doesn't come off as gimmicky and it looks amazing.

Patrick Watson-The Great Escape.

this one does me in every time...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, I'm spent...see why I don't blog?...I make it into an ordeal every time...plus I haven't done it for so long...I'm feelin mad outta shape here...anyhow...enjoy...I'm gonna go sprawl out on the bleachers and dream about Funyuns or something...see you next time I make an attempt at getting my shit together...

Hello, internet.

So if you don't read the words gathered in this here scramblepatch, then do yourself a favor and skip this. I'm just trying to talk my way out of an imaginary corner that I may or may not have painted my way into...however I made a mix that sounds nice and/or good. You should check that out.

If you do read this then, well, I hope you weren't too confused by that last one. I was in a bit of a tizzy when I wrote it and threw in some of that patented mobius logic for shits and gigs. Who knows what I've been aiming for by doing that. But honestly, without sarcasm or spin or unsubstantiated weirdness, these are the details on my current situation.

1. I'm moving to New York tomorrow. This has been in the works for some time and the best reason I can come up with is "because it's something that I need to do." I know, right? But I'm actually dead serious about that being the case...logistics be damned. So yeah, this is probably the ballsiest thing I have done in my young life. Or maybe the most retarded. Or possibly even the best? We shall see...

2. I'm most likely going on a substantial blog hiatus because I will be needing to get my shit together on the non-internet front. I will try and be semi-good about the Scumcasts though, if time allows.

3. I'm not gonna finish R.A.M II. In case you remember me mentioning it, it's this mix that I've been futzing with on and off for a long ass time...like at least a year and a half. I've already built it up to near completion only to dismantle it and start from scratch...twice.

But just in case you were wondering, it was called Intravenous Digitalis and it involved a lot of caustic idm-style music interspersed with snippets about human progress, technological integration/paranoia, and ideas about the universe. Like, stuff about viewing life as a self-preserving program with a seemingly inescapable trajectory towards combining and complicating...or some things regarding the idea of purpose as it relates to the aggregate of data we accumulate as a species, and then pondering how that knowledge is being assimilated and interpreted in the collective sub-quantum repositories on which our reality is erected...and of course, plenty of things revolving around our inability to deny the selfish animalism embedded in our survival coding, and how that fact, combined with our current means to manipulate the natural world on a global scale, seems to inevitably put us on a crash course towards one dismal ass future...

::cough:: so yeah, fun stuff like that. You can probably see why trying to tackle something like this could make me get exponentially weirder, huh? But I finally (FINALLY!) realized that not only is all this head-churning, asymptote-overload bizz way too much for just a "mixtape"... it's also waaaay too much for me to really try and effectively communicate at this point in my life. Maybe one day when I am more established, and technically adept, I will be able to do justice to the concept without sounding like a nutbar. But from this point forward, I gotta focus on the here and now. Things that I can actually benefit from. This little tangent is the only piece of that endeavor that'll see the light of day.

All that being said, I conceived of this project as a 3-parter. I've actually had the third one done for at least a year. Needless to say, it's much simpler in scope, just a collection of songs I was digging at the time that were in some way computery, but still had a strong emotional component. There's also a heavy boy/girl undercurrent to it too. The highs and the lows. Actually, a lot of highs in this one surprisingly...there's a string of 5 or 6 songs in the middle there that sound, like, mind-bogglingly optimistic. That's why it was the last one, to kind of pad the hecticity of the middle one with a bit of hope. Anyway, I really should have let this one loose at the time, but right now is a pretty decent "release date" too, considering my sitch. It shouldn't sound too dated, simply because there are some really great songs on it. Enjoy.

Here we go...headfirst into the unknown.

Scumcast! 5

^ ^ ^ ^ ^

Get it?

Cause it's the 5th Scumcast!...and I'm still "a-live!"...and like, bang! the pope!

.....

meh, 2 outta 3 ain't bad.

14.Dominik Eulberg-Adler
15.Secondo-Unstedt (Secondo Reshuffle)
16.Swayzak-Blufarm
17.Odyssey-Who

I tend to describe what I did in the mix here, don't I? A-hwellll...it starts off with that retro futuristic stylee...so there's some oddball disco, some jams that are heavy on the arpeggiator, that type of thing. Then I got that depraved look in my eye again there for a second before shaking it off with some nice "listening" techno.

Other than that, again, sorry for the lack of random nonsense on here. What can I say? Yes, I'm a total derelict. I'm definitely in "blog limbo" for the second time, and I'm pretty sure that that's just a subsidiary of a much larger man/boy limbo deal that I've been wrestling with for far too long.

But it's cool, it's taught me a few things.

In a nutshell, I've learned that my personality mixed with the concept of having to fill some abstract, boundless marketing criteria makes for some strange ass results...especially when you never take the time to even try and define said box. I think the only rule I've been running with is "well, it's the internet...so it's not really real... so why not loon the fuck out!"

Basically, I figured it'd be fun to exploit some neurotic tendencies by projecting them into an exaggerated persona. This would, in turn, serve as a bit of promotion for the mixes I was doing and make them semi-useful, right? Yeah well, I think even nurturing these things knowingly has had some errr...adverse effects. Most of the time I think I've said too much. Sometimes I feel I'm in too deep (like Omar Epps). But I'm fairly sure I've embarrassed myself on more than a couple of occasions and I'll probably never even know it. I guess I thought my blatant disregard for proofreading or spell-checking was somehow endearing in a rag tag sort of way. Looking back, ind it kind of obnoxious. The wonders of a disposable medium, ey?? Oh wellz.

Actually, I think the biggest reason I've stopped is not so much that I care about coming off as a nut, but rather because my business cards do actually say DJ Scallywag. I'm thinking it might have cost me a few potential regular folk dj jobs at this point, due to some unwanted googling. Seriously, I actually started laughing to myself when I finally realized, "hey that blog is the first thing to pop up. That could kinda make it like a resume in a sense, huh? doot da doot da doooo......oh...ohhhh shit."

I'm sure my myspace page hasn't helped either...but since I'm about to change it, I'd also like to say that for the past half a year or so, it was intentionally set-up to look like "some hipster shit" at first glance, then "some anti-hipster shit" if you actually delve into it, complete with yet another degree of alienation and retaliatory commodification. I find the whole denial spiral thing attached to these established stereotypes to be pretty fascinating, not to mention all the snowflake syndrome stuff. I tried to address that in my own weird way. At this point, I feel like I could go on and on with little theories as to how these current trends will grow culturally, but since they are pretty much ultimately pessimistic, it's not too important to me right now. Speaking of which, there's also a lot of bonus material in there too, mostly of the bleak and confusing variety, so peep the insanity while it lasts. Oh and there's another huge reason why I haven't been doing this anymore...the real biggest actually...but I think I'll just leave that for next time.

ANYway, so back to the subject...I can't approach this blog like it's the fractured byproduct of my existential puttering anymore. Also, I feel like sometimes I cheapen artist's mp3s with my scattershot ramblings and general lack of focus. So, I'm stripping it down to just mixes for the foreseeable future. That was my initial goal anyway and the only thing I tend to not be wildly irresponsible with. As of right now, I'm actually looking to come off as the approachable, well-balanced, T-Pain-loving American that I pretend to be when working in real life. Terrible, right?

(Hahaaaaa! No it's brilliant! So what, did I like, finally win or something?!? What's my prize??? No more ridiculously self-involved, pseudo-intellectual bullshit to wade through?!? An actual attempt at furthering your creative endeavors without shooting yourself in the foot every time? Yeah, Ok! Sure! I'll take it! As in starting now! That is, unless you want to claim that all of your previous syntactical nightmares have actually been made to look that way on purpose? Or that all of your failed attempts at coming off as clever or cool were actually meant to be perceived as such? Hmmm? -Ed)

Oh what up, broooo!!! Hey, I'm glad you popped in because I've been wanting to tell YOU something!

Dude, you are seriously the weakest, most obvious gimmick ever. Honestly, who the hell would be like "oh yeah, you've got some random blog that you only manage to take half seriously? Sweeeet! I was totally thinking of starting one of those too...but instead, can I just like, edit yours and talk shit about you the whole time?" Haaah. Yeah, okay! I mean, if that WERE the case, I might even kinda understand why you were such a dick. You're like, the worst editor ever! I'd be super bitter. But unfortunately, because you aren't even a believable construct, all you've ever really done was make me look marginally crazier. Plus, you're right, I just admitted that I'm actually sane as fuck...so hey congratulations...you've got nothing on me! Anyhow, I still can't believe I edited out that part where I killed you sometime last year. So hey, guess what?

Now you die for reals.

Sooo, seeing as how me and time haven't exactly been seeing eye to eye lately, I'm guessing right now might thee perfect time to drop a summertime megamix...but ay, I guess that's kind of the point of summer, right?

Anyhey, about a month ago, I figured I'd make an attempt at scoring a ton of cool points by doing an Ibiza-style mix. You know, something invoking white sand, exotic lotions, oversized sunglasses, hours of casual fist-pumping, eternal bliss via self involvement and indifference, etc, etc. And I did actually intend to set about working on it that way, but as you might have guessed, the idea of doing an all day eurotanning sesh mix just for the ""context of it all"" wore thin pretty quickly (like after two or three songs really).

So instead I tried to cobble together an island beach party vibe using stuff I genuinely like from a couple different genres, doing my best to bridge the whole chill out beach thing with stuff that actually sounds good when it enters your ears. In the end, I opted for some classier jams, but there is still a decent amount of guilty pleasure kitsch in there. Oh, and we're rolling with the original title, Endless Baleria, as well because hey...I've got the re-emergence and subsequent co-opting of said pan-atlantic buzzword ALL figured out.

You know how it is, when you are real busy being too cool for words and all the sudden the blog house and electro ease up a bit and those previously abrasive textures take a sudden turn for the smooth. It's like you have no choice but to turn to the asshole next to you and go, "woOOOow, it's getting like, massively Balearic in here...u wanna go do another bumpy, ba-bro brah?"

I mean, that's just how it works in the 07, right? Right?!? Of course it does. But yeah, to all my twenty-something yacht rockers the world over, just know that the title was kept for your enjoyment. Here's to the cycle coiling in on itself once more!

But serious, curiously misdirected ranting aside, if you do find yourself beach or poolside on Labor Day, then try bumping this as the sun is starting to set...

Remember that game "telephone" we'd all play back in the day during snack time or juice time or since like, the dawn of time? Where someone would whisper something and you'd whisper what they said in the next persons ear all the way down the line and the last person said what they were told and it was usually something totally different?

Yeah, I loved being the one to twist the words around too. Y'know, for posterities sake. Just to do my civic duty in skewing the lens a little further. I'm wondering if these Scumcast deals could be a little extension of that? Only this time, I get to whisper sweet nothings into every single link in the chain. Ahhhhh...

(Inner)Peace through subversion? I'd like to think so.

This time we started off oh so collected with the austere sleekness, then things managed to turn comfortably sinister for awhile before resurfacing with a bit of the worldliness I was leaning towards from the get go. The live aspect got bypassed this month, mainly because it was late at night and I was trying to quietly brainstorm with the Ableton and some headphones and things just sorta went from there. I tried to make amends for that by throwing in a little bit of extra digital wankery. That ying yang twins/david banner/hurricane chris medley is my first and last attempt at doing the "name your mashup!" thing. It's track 17. Give yourself a good minute to soak up all the levels on that one.

Seriously, I retire undefeated from the game...maybe not sonically (the qual on the banner acapella was pretty shammy), but uh, titularly?!? No contest.

("Ay Bay Bay's Day Out" was another contender...but I felt it was a little too obscure/not at all relevant to anything...except for how much I miss watching guys like Joe Pesci or Joe Mantegna or any Joe Sicily types getting caught up in the screwball antics...only not really...pretty much just for the purposes of saying that right there I guess...actually, I think i just wanted to claim a little Baby's Day Out...man, that little dude just kept on crawling his way out of trouble there, didn't he?...foiling capers and shit..oh and you know John Hughes wrote that movie?...guess he knew he had a good thing going with the whole bumbling criminal thing after Home Alone...dude also wrote the story for Maid in Manhattan apparently...so yeah, if you want to reminisce something fierce, then check out his IMDB from before '91. Soooo many classics!)

Yeah, talking about stuff is great....

Which brings me to my next topic: this fuk-ging blooooogggggggg-gu-gu-gu-guuuuuhh...

Yeah, looks like I am suck at doing this again...at least in terms of frequency or volume or circumference. I still can't figure out if that's a good or bad thing. I mean it's all good fun to sit around and talk to yourself about whatevs, whenevs (I know, thats why crazy people do it all the time! -Ed) but I feel I've pretty much proven that part already...of this vague point I've been trying to make...to myself. That might not make a lot of sense...

Maybe the whole "splayed out thought process" approach was too much. From now on it'll be all subtlety and coded expression. Trust me, it'll make me seem so much cooler. Watch, I'll reel in all these tangents and keep it all packaged and discrete, all while angling this shit a little harder at your preconceptions by feeding you exactly what you are trying to buy into. You'll get totally caught up in the mystique. That way, when you are fully primed, anxiously willing to really listen, the sudden onslaught of overwhelming beauty/despair will resonate that much deeper, maybe even freeing/frying your emotional core...forever??

Then we'll all have much more in common, yeah? :)

Anyway, I just want to show you some stuff. Radio silence. Startiiiiiiing.....now.

Visualati Substantia (Redux)

I feel like I've been drabbing it up real hard over here with all this typing and pouting and what have you, so today is mondo picture day. It's been awhile, and I've got a ton of great things to choose from, so this might be very reminiscent of those monster posts from yesteryear. Not to say that I've really gotten much better, but hey now. Can't you tell I'm all about the overkill? It's all or nothing.

(And by "all" I guess I he just means larger doses of half-acidness. -Ed)

Yeah, well you know what, I'm gonna let the art do the talking today. But speaking of half-assing it (^^^this guy thinks he's clever...) , I also toyed around with the template a little...tried to make things look a little poppier or zippier or zangier or some shit. So yeah, let me know if that's giving you a headache. I'm thinking I might just make everything grue and bleen, and have the whole page strobing violently fast...cuz that's the color of magic!

Anyway, fire up those eyeballs.

James Jean

This guy is pretty much my favorite artist right now. So amazingly versatile. I can't wait to see what happens next.

One gripe...what's up with that lil' lo-fi jazz interlude? Kinda like, ummm ok...

Other than that, quite an inspirational cross-pollination of disciplines, yeah?

Edit: yeah, so that once again confirmed my suspicion...one of the best possible experiences in life is to be surrounded by people and then collectively releasing ridiculous quantities of positive energy and elated thought...and to be instructed to do so by lords of the man-machine mind meld via 4/4 love and intradigital telepathy? Wow. Undeniable.

Note To Self: look into streetwear that is fully equipped with state-of-the-art fiber optic wizardry such that every day folks can rocket minds out of cranial cavities with the skin-peeling velocity usually reserved for ejector seats and/or space travel. 2008 will be the Year of the Technicolor Dreamcoat!
