6.6.06 YOU'VE BEEN WARNED

Day of Reckoning. You know those cryptic billboards you've seen round the way that had you going what? Yeah, that was me...Anticipation got you all crazed today, huh? I bet by the end of the day there's gonna be all kinds of sinister yet seductive pink ticklemist just starbursting around the city like at the end of Ghostbusters...at which point I'll probably be downtown, getting all primal, Vinz Clortho-style.

Anyhow...without further ado...the Yin Yang twins of mixes...Thug n Bass and Aurora Borealis. I'd file these two under "Extreme Sideprojects"...basically some specialized listening excursions curated for opposing levels of the emotional fringe. If you can't hang, don't worry, I'll be back to not-as-gnarly-and-intense mode shortly. In the mean time, I've posted two older mixes (The Eclectic Kool-Aid Acid Test and Phlutter) that are much more digestible. If you are feeling particularly generous and want a hard copy of these on CD (complete with artwork, separate tracks n better sound quality), e-mail me and we can work out some 5 dollar pay pal nonsense. Otherwise just download and enjoy.

Thug n Bass

IT'S MURDER DEATH KILL IN THE YEAR 3000 MUTHAFUCKAZ!!!

Thug n Bass, a head on collision of hip hop, drum n bass, and other forays into dark futurism featuring the lyrical venom of gangsta legends such as Tupac, Eazy-E, Trick Daddy, Big L, and Enya. Not for the faint of heart or even the mildly squemish... but be sure to bump this while operating heavy machinery. In fact, make this the soundtrack to your next high speed pursuit. 130 mph, drunk as shit, Fox news choppers hovering above, blinding you with your 15 minutes, both glocks in the air, and the steering wheel on random...

Or maybe you could just go somewhere secluded, get wasted, and blast this at full volume while punching the dashboard until you break something. Shit works wonders for that intense suburban aggression too, son!

Also, subs are a must for this one...don't let me catch you fucking with this on your tinny ass computer speakers! Double also...it eases up a little bit towards the end if you're kinda curious as to what it is that I'm doing but you take a listen and freak out because you're a little bitch. But like I said on them billboards, you've been warned.

Now go wreck some shit.

Aurora Borealis

The second installment of Sleep Spindles...ambient music to assist you with your daily dissolution of consciousness. Like the northern lights, the soundscape slowly undulates, softly cresting between hopeful dream weaving and mournful stargazing, while carefully unraveling thoughts so that they might ripple skywards. I recommend you let this unfold right as you are going to bed, with the volume at about 1/2 to 1/3 of your normal listening level so you aren't disturbed once you drift off, but hey, feel free to do as you please. I'm looking forward to hearing this while deep sea diving with ghosts, or while peacefully being consumed by the all encompassing whiteout of a thousand year blizzard...

Perfect for ending...only to begin again.

Or you might take a trip with Phlutter and coast thru smoke-filled lounges cushioned with crushed velvet, to lazy river rides through lush lunar vegatation,to secret asylums filled with electronics that whirr and pitter, all before tumbling back down again.

How's that for a 1-2-3-4 punch combo?

Also stay tuned for Random Access Melodies. Hopefully, it'll be done by the end of the month. It's shaping up to be a 3 disc 4 hour 150+ track ultrabeast at this point so who knows...but expect it to be the definitive guide to musical ones and zeroes.
